Biography

Having majored in both painting and sculpture in art school, Mafuta has been developing a practice working with natural materials such as reeds, gum seeds, charcoal and minerals. This choice of materials is part of Mafuta's philosophy of speaking to his environment and speaking with his audience through shared materials and their stories.
